GSHFH will hold an Application Information Meeting (AIM) to explain the Habitat homeownership opportunity and selection process, to distribute applications, and to answer questions.This AIM is specifically to secure partner families for two proposed homes in Springfield's Upper Hill neighborhood. Only families that attend one of these meetings and complete an application will be eligible for consideration.

Family Selection Criteria

These are the three criteria Habitat for Humanity uses to select partner families:

Need for adequate shelter

Ability to pay a zero percent interest mortgage for a Habitat home

Willingness to Partner with Habitat (250-400 hours of "sweat equity")

If you know of a family who might be eligible for a Habitat home, let them know about the meeting. Those wanting to learn more about Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity's selection process are encouraged to attend.
